The Nike Air Max 1 Powerwall “BRS” Returns with a Big Bubble Upgrade

After months and months of leaks and rumours, the Nike Air Max 1 Powerwall “BRS” is finally making a comeback. Regarded by many as one of the greatest Air Max 1 drops of all-time, it originally released as part of 2006’s “Powerall” series and was met with much acclaim. If you, like many of us, didn’t manage to secure your size back in the day, this is your chance. However, while this could’ve been a straight-up re-release, like many things in life, things aren’t as simple and straightforward as that.

As you may have already guessed from the images, the 2024 edition of the “BRS” has been enhanced with the ’86 “Big Bubble” midsole, a nod to the original Air Max design. The shoe features a striking “Green” mesh toebox and nylon base, bringing vibrancy to the overall look. Complementing this is the “Brown” suede mudguard and heel tab, both reminiscent of early the silhouettes that helped establish Nike’s legacy in sportswear.

A “Grey” mid-panel adds depth to the design, providing a contrast to the bold “Pink” Swoosh that runs along the sides. The trainer is finished off with the American sportswear company’s original logo from back in the day, which reinforces the shoe’s vintage vibe.

With premium materials and careful attention to detail, the Nike Air Max 1 Powerwall “BRS” is poised to be a standout release, blending nostalgia with contemporary flair. Is the ’86 “Big Bubble” upgrade much better? What do you think? Expected to drop this Autumn 2024, let us know if you’ll be adding it to your collection, and make sure to stay tuned to Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
