Even though Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman founded Nike back in 1964, it wasn’t actually called “Nike” until 1972. Getting its name from the very year that it was rechristened, this Air Max 1 works on top of a crisp white mesh base, and is overlaid by “Limestone” suede panels across the lateral and medial sidewalls and heel. “Cream” leather wraps around the mudguard section, and to really spice things up, the Swoosh and tongue are both accented in a fiery “University Red” hue that’s sure to turn heads wherever you go.
“Since ’72” is printed on both of the custom insoles, and to complete the design, a vintage-inspired “Sail” Air midsole adds a timeless touch.
