Borrowing elements from the Y2K classic, this fresh take preserves the essence of the OG while adapting it to the timeless Air Max silhouette.
This Air Max 1 looks and feels more premium compared to regular pairs. Working on top of a grey ballistic mesh base, it’s overlaid by panels and panels of charcoal suede throughout. A slick black leather mudguard wraps around the trainer, while fiery red accents descend upon the tongue tag, eyelets, and Swoosh.
Underfoot, the midsole is as stealthy as it gets. And the AM1 is rounded off with “Nike Air” branding that’s finely embroidered around the back, finalising the design.
Set to release in Spring 2025, the Nike Air Max 1 “Vamps” serves as part of Nike’s “Cult Classics” collection, a tribute to the brand’s heritage by reintroducing iconic colorways on updated silhouettes.
