The sneaker game is certainly no stranger when it comes to Gore-Tex-infused colourways. In fact, Nike has been adding the industry-leading technology to many of its silhouettes for years now. With that said, every once in a while, a pair comes along that stops everyone in their tracks, and this season it’s the Nike Air Max 90 Gore-Tex “Dark Smoke Grey.” The perfect balance between form and function and style and substance, this is a must-cop.
This Air Max 90 works on top of a “Black” ballistic mesh base and is overlaid by panels of “Dark Smoke Grey” throughout. A crisp “Summit White” Swoosh glides across the lateral and medial sidewalls for a pop of contrast, and rubberised elements venture towards the lacing system and back for a rugged aesthetic. It’s a mix of materials that we’re all very familiar with, but one that we still can’t enough of.
However, what really sets this AM90 apart is the fact that it’s completely lined in Gore-Tex to keep the rain and the wind out, leaving your feet nice and dry this season. Just in case you needed a reminder, the technology’s logo can also be found on the heel and the tongue. The trainer then sits on top of an Air-infused midsole that’s as comfortable as it gets.
