After months and months (and even more months) of leaks, rumours, and teasers, Nike Basketball has officially introduced the inaugural shoe of Devin Booker, the Nike Book 1. Set to take over the game this year, it’s launching in an ultra-crisp “Light Orewood Brown” colourway – and here’s everything that we know so far.
One of the cleanest basketball shoes of the season, this Book 1 features a multi-material construction that includes smooth nubuck, perforated suede, and hard-wearing canvas. It’s a combination that has stood of test of time, and one that looks absolutely impeccable on the Phoenix Suns shooting guard’s signature silhouette.
An oversized Swoosh glides across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and inside, the insole is dipped in a vivid “Safety Orange” hue that’s sure to turn heads wherever you go. The “Sail” midsole is extra chunky for extra comfort, and one of the highlights of the model has got to be the heel pull tab, that’s made up of several layers of fabric to keep in line with the book-like theme.
