The last time Nike dropped a Spider-Man-themed trainer was all the way back in the very beginning of last year. And while the Nike Dunk Low “Spider-Man Black Symbiote” isn’t an official collaboration with the Marvel superhero, it’s more than enough to fill the empty void. Apparently inspired by the part in the comics when an alien substance attaches itself to Peter Parker’s suit (this same substance would later latch onto a range of other characters to form Venom), this is a must-own for both comic book fans and sneakerheads.
Featuring a full leather construction, this Dunk Low works on top of a dark charcoal base that’s sprawling with webs. Black tumbled overlays wrap around the rest of the upper, while light grey accents hit the heel badge and Swoosh. This spider theme extends towards the toebox as well, and underfoot, the rubber midsole has also been totally blacked out for a seriously stealthy aesthetic.
But just when you thought that looked awesome, as soon as you turn down the lights, you’ll immediately realise that this sneaker is completely covered in 3M accents, so you can flex your cool kicks even in the dark. It’s a design that Nike has done multiple times in the past, but it’s executed impeccably here.
The Nike Dunk Low “Black Symbiote Suit” was designed with kids in mind, but that’s not going to stop some guys from squeezing into a pair. Expected to drop sometime in Autumn 2024, let us know if you’ll be copping them, and make sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
