Nike’s no stranger to mystery drops. We’ve seen it with SNKRS shock releases and sealed packs like the HUF SB Dunk Low from 2022. But this is the first time a standard Dunk Low gets the blind-box treatment and with the Dunk’s 40th anniversary in full swing, the timing couldn’t be better.

Launching as a series of drops starting this August, the Nike “Panda-monium” Dunk Blind Box marks a new chapter in Nike’s collectible strategy. Instead of a typical sneaker drop, buyers will receive sealed packaging that hides which of the two mystery colourways they’ve scored. It’s a move straight out of the blind-box playbook made popular by Pop Mart and Bearbrick.

What’s inside? The first release will give the buyer either of these two special edition Panda colourways, with 8 more dropping later in the year. The first pair leans into familiar territory with the crisp black-and-white combo fans can’t seem to get enough of. The other breaks away, mixing earthy olive and brown tones in a tactile bouclé upper. Both options keep the Dunk’s low-top silhouette intact but add a crazy textures and colours to the mix.

Expect pairs to fly once the box seals are cracked. Whether you land the OG Panda version or the fuzzier, earth-toned take, this release taps into the thrill of the unknown. Let us know if you’ll be adding these to your rotation, and be sure to keep it locked for your best chance to secure your size.
