Comme des Garçons BLACK puts its stamp back on the Nike Field General 82, doubling down on distortion, bold branding, and abstract energy. The classic retro trainer gets twisted once again, following up last year’s “MARKET MARKET” edition with something just as graphic but even more out there.

This latest pair throws out the gum sole and trades it for a full blackout look. Leather upper, laces, lining, outsole all in solid black. But the chaos is in the details. The uppers are layered with warped white Swooshes and scribbled “Comme des Garçons BLACK” text, twisting around the panels and spilling onto the sole. Logos collide, repeat, and stretch like they’re caught mid-glitch.

It’s a loud visual for a quiet colourway. And while it still nods to its ‘80s football roots, the final product feels far removed from the the usual colourways we see. This is CDG doing what they do best: pulling from Nike’s archive and turning it into something totally different.

From the warped logos to the all-black base, it’s built for those who crave something different and loud. Keep an eye out because once these drop, they may not hang around for long.
