Nike is no stranger when it comes to innovation, and by the looks of things, the upcoming Nike Lunar Roam is set to be the American sportswear company’s next big silhouette. A culmination of classic design and contemporary details, this all-new model looks like something from the early 2000s but with a space-age twist.
One of the first things that you’ll notice about the Lunar Roam is its engineered mesh upper. Painted in a clean “Alabaster” hue, it wraps around the sneaker for enhanced breathability and ventilation with every step. A slick black Swoosh glides through the lateral and medial sidewalls, and across the midfoot and heel, “Green Abyss” taping offers up additional support and structure, making these ideal for both short sprints and long runs.
Underfoot, the trainer sits on top of an extra chunky Lunarlon foam midsole that’s as comfortable as it gets. Boasting a ribbed aesthetic, it’s painted predominantly in “Lemon Drop” with a dash of “Saturn Gold” towards the rear. It’s then finished off with a grippy rubber outsole and a slightly-oversized pull tab that provides extra convenience to its wearer while they’re on-the-go.
Set to drop on December 16th, if you want the Nike Lunar Roam “Alabaster” in your collection, make sure you keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to cop. More colourways are expected to be announced within the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
