The Nike SB PS8 “Safari” Has Been Uncaged

This season, Nike is giving the PS8 silhouette a legendary makeover with the Nike SB PS8 “Safari.” Inspired by the original Air Safari that Tinker Hatfield designed back in 1987, if you’re a big fan of the exotic aesthetic but you’re searching for something that’s a little more half-pipe-ready, this might just be what you’ve been looking for all this time.

Even though the PS8’s only just been introduced, it’s already being called one of the greatest skateboarding shoes out there. For this iteration, the Flyknit base is painted in an orange “Monarch” hue, and it’s overlaid by panels and panels of “Black” leather across the lacing system. A light grey Swoosh glides through the lateral and medial sidewalls, and the toebox and heel are decked out in the legendary “Safari” print that’s sure to turn heads wherever you go.

Shifting your focus down below, Nike’s skateboarding division opted for a semi-translucent rubber sole, providing a clean finish that ties the entire design together. This is infused with FlyPlate technology for the perfect balance of comfort, cushioning, and support.

The Nike SB PS8 “Safari” celebrates the American sportswear company’s rich history in both skateboarding and sneaker culture. Dropping within the coming months, let us know if you’ll be going for these, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
