New Balance sell out pair has reloaded on the New Balance site. The 1906L Loafer “Metallic Silver”, a hybrid that shifts a familiar performance runner into unexpected territory sold out immediately on its initial release and again during the summer. What started as a runway moment with Junya Watanabe has turned into one of the brand’s most interesting ongoing plays.

The upper keeps the core 1906 look intact. Open mesh handles airflow. Layered synthetic overlays build the structure. The metallic silver brings a harder edge, almost industrial in tone, while softer greys through the mesh and collar stop it feeling cold.
Where it shifts is across the tongue. The laces are gone, replaced with a clean loafer-style strap. It changes the stance of the shoe instantly, but the runner DNA is still obvious.

Underfoot, the N-ergy sole stays the same. It feels cushioned and steady, comfortable enough for long hours on your feet. Supportive without being too soft.
It’s a simple idea done well. A running shoe sole with a loafer-style upper. Nothing complicated. Just a clear mix of both.
