The Roland x New Balance Numeric Tiago Lemos 808 Was Destined for the Half-Pipe

This year has been full of unexpected collaborations, but the upcoming Roland x New Balance Numeric Tiago Lemos 808 is a hard one to beat. Apparently inspired by the Japanese instrument company’s legendary TR-808 drum machine, this partnership brings together the best of music and skate culture.

Featuring a sleek black mesh, leather, and suede upper, Roland’s take on the Numeric Tiago Lemos 808 is accented with vibrant pops of orange and yellow, mirroring the distinctive buttons of the iconic drum machine. A giant glossy “N” logo hits the lateral and medial sidewalls, while a creamy pull tab is stitched around the back for added convenience.

“TR-808” is embroidered on both tongues, and the trainer actually comes with a special TR-808 hangtag that’s done up in rubber. “Rhythm Composer” graces the heel, adding an authentic touch that pays tribute to the machine’s full name.

The Roland x New Balance Numeric Tiago Lemos 808 blends the worlds of music and skateboarding in a seamless, stylish package. Set to release on August 8th, coinciding with the unofficial “808 Day,” let us know if you’ll be copping it, and make sure to stay tuned to Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
