This year marks Sneakersnstuff’s 25th anniversary. And to celebrate this huge milestone, the Scandinavian retailer has enlisted adidas for the SNS x adidas GT II “Berlin.” Inspired by the vibrant energy of Berlin’s nightlife, it’s packed full of cool textures, materials, and details that take this retro-inspired silhouette to the next level.
Structurally, the GT II is based off of the German sportswear company’s legendary Handball from 1979. Feature more-or-less the same design, this revamped version is different in that it’s crafted from a range of innovative materials. The upper, for example, is made from a dark navy ripstop nylon that’s flexible and water-resistant, and this is overlaid by ashy blue short-haired suede panels across the front and back of the sneaker.
Pastel yellow accents hit the Three Stripe branding, which is done up in tumbled leather. And all of this rests on top of a blacked-out rubber midsole, which nods to the city than never sleeps. Rounding it all off is the fiery red co-branding that’s printed in the tongue and insoles, finalising the design.
The SNS x adidas GT II “Berlin” will drop first on the SNS app on September 9th, with pairs available at all SNS locations starting September 14th. If any pairs remain, they’ll be released on the SNS website on September 19th. Check out the detailed images of the shoes below ahead of the release. Let us know if you’ll be going for these, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
