The Sporty & Rich x adidas Adizero Adios 1 Breathes New Life Into a Marathon Icon

Even though Sporty & Rich and Adidas only started collaborating quite recently, the Emily Oberg-founded lifestyle label has already become one of the greats. And, for its next drop, it’s taking on one of the best running shoes ever with the Sporty & Rich x adidas Adizero Adios 1. First launched in 2008, this silhouette helped Haile Gebrselassie set a world record at the Berlin Marathon.

Sporty & Rich’s Adizero Adios 1 holds tight to its roots. Mesh uppers, metallic silver overlays, and pops of bold colour bring back the OG look and feel. Two versions are on the way – one accented in “Court Green” and one done up in “Core Navy.” Both of these colourways ride a base of “Footwear White” and “Silver Metallic,” resulting in a retro aesthetic that’ll look right at home in any vintage collector’s rotation.

But it’s not just about its good looks either. Underfoot, you’ll find an adiPRENE+ midsole, and this is backed up by adidas’ Torsion System and adiWEAR rubber outsole for grip and structure. These sneakers are then finished off with co-branding on the tongue and insole.
