The UnheardOf x adidas Adistar Cushion 3 “Piggy Runners” is One of the Rarest Sneakers of 2025

Phil Lipschultz is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of adidas‘ most creative collaborators. After dropping the highly sought-after “Grandma’s Couch” collection in 2023, the founder of Cincinnati’s UnheardOf is back, this time with the UnheardOf x adidas Adistar Cushion 3 “Piggy Runners.”

Ever since the Adistar Cushion 3 was brought back last year, its colourways have been relatively low-key and understated. But for UnheardOf’s take, it’s bigger and bolder than ever before. Working on top of a pastel pink mesh base, it’s overlaid by panels and panels of leather and suede for an extremely premium look and feel. Fiery red accents hit the eyelets and adiPRENE midsole, and everything’s tied together by a pair of complementary laces.

Of course, you just can’t talk about the “Piggy Runners” without mentioning the pig details that are embroidered throughout. A sweaty little guy features on the tongue, while his eyes are stitched around the back of the sneaker. Knowned lovingly as Pork Chop, he makes a cameo on the outsole too, and all of this comes packed in a special edition shoebox that was made exclusively for this collaborative release.
