2024’s been a big year for the Air Jordan 4. Not only did the legendary Jordan Brand silhouette celebrate its 35th anniversary, the sneaker community has also been introduced to a multitude of spin-offs, including the upcoming Air Jordan 4 Net. Leaks of this model first surfaced a few months ago, and now it’s here and ready to go.
Making its grand debut in a crisp “White” colourway, from a distance this AJ4 looks like just another classic AJ4. Boasting a premium all-leather construction, you’ll find all the typical details here: the lacing system’s decked out in rubber, the heel badge is decorated with the Jumpman logo, a curved mudguard wraps around the front of the sneaker – you know, the usual AJ4 stuff!
But that’s where all the similarities begin and end, because as per its name, the Air Jordan 4 Net is bolstered with a massive net that embraces the entire top half of the shoe. Apparently inspired by basketball hoops, it’s unlike anything that we’ve seen before. And while it doesn’t look like it serves any functional purpose, the Michael Jordan-helmed label has shown that you can actually attach various keychains to it. In fact, the AJ4N comes with two “Metallic Gold” ones straight out of the box.
And of course, because this is still an Air Jordan 4, it rests on top of a chunky midsole that’s infused with Nike Air technology. This is as comfortable and cushioned now as it was back in 1989.
If you want the Air Jordan 4 Net “White” in your collection, you need to listen up. Expected to drop on December 2nd, each pair will set you back £200. This particular colourway is a women’s exclusive, but that won’t stop some guys from squeezing into a pair.
