Nike keeps surprising us as we approach the Air Max Day 2023 celebration. Just when we thought we were only getting awesome Air Max 1 colourways, Nike have now decided to bring out a new lin of slides! The Nike Air Max 1 Slide “University Red” makes its debut in 2023 in the OG AM1 colourway. Now we can wear an Air Max 1 inside the house anytime we want!
There are no official release details yet, but we can expect launch information soon before March 2023. In the meantime, let’s check out the rest of the official images of this new slide below.
This is definitely going to be a hit for avid Nike Air Max 1 fans, an essential Summer pickup!
Fans of the iconic Air Max 1 will not how well the Slide mimics the overall aesthetic of the shoe. The strap features a mesh base with suede overlays in University Red and Grey, just like the OG rendition. Embroidered Nike Swooshes are cut in half while the tongue logo headlines the mid-section.
The foam footbed is thick and provides a lot of step-in comfort. There’s a visible Air Max unit in the heel for more cushioning and improved impact protection. Your heel sits directly underneath the Air bubble, only separated by the foam footbed.
Staying true to form, the outsole features the waffle sole traction pattern in Black, White, and Red.
It’s about time we finally got the Slide version of the shoe as we previously saw the Air Max 90 and Uptempo Slides. This makes the Air Max 2023 celebration more exciting!
We will provide more details about this new Nike Air Max 1 Slide “University Red” once we get more information. It’s certain we will also get other OG colourways.
In similar news, we will also have the Nike Air Max 1 Big Bubble ’86 in 2023 and for further reading on this topic we recommend The Top Five Nike House Shoes / Slides / Slippers or The Top Six Slides To Wear With Socks.
