Take the upcoming Union x Bephie’s Beauty Supply x Air Jordan 1, for example. A rare three-way partnership that was first teased earlier this year, we now have an official release date.
ULA’s latest Jordan Brand sneaker is truly one-of-a-kind. Featuring a creamy leather construction that gives off a somewhat vintage vibe, it’s very subtly accented with yellow throughout which adds to the old school aesthetic.
A light grey Swoosh glides across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and of course, you can’t talk about this shoe without mentioning the woven detailing that features throughout the silhouette. A first of its kind, this intricate design has been swiped straight from Nike Air Footscape Woven from 1996. It looks a little strange at first, but the more you stare at it, the more it just seems to… work.
The signature “UN/LA” tag nods to the Chris Gibbs-helmed label, while the light blue stitching and the “BBS” around the heel pays homage to Gibbs’ wife Beth and her Bephie’s Beauty Supply label. All of this comes packed in a very special shoebox, and will drop alongside a complementary Air Jordan 1 Elevate.
