Here we get a first mockup look at the Air Jordan 6 Retro “Metallic Silver” rumoured for a 2022 Summer release. Originally a colour blocking found on the OG low-cut version back in 2002; we finally get a much-needed high-cut update decades later!
While we’re only halfway through the first quarter of the year, various Air Jordan retros are already appearing left, right and centre.
The Jordan Brand’s Holiday collection is one of the most eagerly awaited releases of the year. Aside from the annual Air Jordan 11 Retro release, a lot of big-time launches made headlines among the sneaker community. Recently, information about the Holiday 2022 collection surfaced.
“Metallic Silver” is a colour scheme more popularly known on the Air Jordan 5, another “colour swap” among Jordan Retros brings a whole new vibe to the shoe. This mockup shows the usual black nubuck body similar to the “Infrared” 6s; with hints of Metallic Silver on the forefoot and heel portions of the midsole.
Glossy Metallic Silver hits on the Jumpman tongue and heel tab bring a touch of premium. The Jumpman logos on the heel arrive in a subtle black and blend with the nubuck upper.
The outsole combines solid and translucent rubber on the forefoot and heel areas. A Metallic Silver Jumpman right on the midfoot sticks to the theme.
Overall, this mockup by Sneakerfiles and @zsneakerheadz posts an accurate description of the Black/Metallic Silver colourway of the Air Jordan 6. Highly similar to the DMP 6s with no accents of gold. Expect official photos and the confirmed date of release as summer approaches.
