South Korean streetwear brand Kasina is back for another exclusive colab with Nike After making waves back in 2020 with a rework on two Nike Dunk Lows, we now get an upcoming Kasina x Nike Air Max 1. The details on this one are superb, the hype on this one set to be UNREAL.
Historical Korean tradition makes up the design, complete with Korean characters on the labels. While these may possibly be another Asian exclusive release just like the Kasina Dunks; let’s check out the first look photos of these fire Air Max 1s. Various materials make up the upper. There’s a Burgundy pebbled leather base on the vamp; Orange fuzzy suede toe cap, Burgundy fuzzy suede mudguard, Navy Blue faux pony hair on the midfoot, and more suede and leather overlays on the rear.
The shoe is rich in colour and details. The theme takes inspiration from Mandarin ducks which are the base model for Korean wedding ducks. These wooden wedding ducks, called Kireogi, are given as gifts at Korean weddings. It’s considered to be a traditional symbol of love because Mandarin ducks stick together for life.
There’s a colourful leather hangtag with an embroidered duck. Other notable details include the orange flower on the forefoot Swoosh, as well as Korean characters on the tongue, lace dubrae, and heel.
Because it’s an exclusive partnership, the shoe comes with a special packaging box. It features repeated Swooshes, Air Max labels, and Korean Characters scattered on a maze-like pattern.
We currently have no release date but expect these to be another limited drop just like the previous Kasina launches. Another popular Air Max 1 as 2022 saw a lot of AM1 drops because of the model’s 35th anniversary. Stay tuned for official images and release information as soon as we get the latest info!
