After months and months and even more months of waiting, the hotly-anticipated JJJJound x adidas Samba has finally been officially revealed. Made in collaboration with the Montreal-based streetwear imprint (which has teamed up with everyone from New Balance to Vans), this is guaranteed to be one of the most hyped collections of the entire year.
Revealed in two clean colour combinations including “Off White” and “Core Black,” Justin Saunders’ take on the ’40s football model is exactly what you’d expect. From a distance, these look almost identical to their general release counterparts, but the secret really lies within the materials and the craftsmanship. That’s because both Sambas are constructed from some of the finest leather out there, and they’re made in adidas‘ home country of Germany.
Elsewhere, contrasting Three Stripes glide across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and the inner lining of both trainers is decked out in an eye-catching gold hue. The insole is printed with JJJJound’s legendary serif logo, and the OG gum rubber midsole also makes a comeback. To round it all off, the sneakers are packed in bold blue shoeboxes that have been made exclusively for this partnership.
Expected to drop in Spring 2024, be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps if you want the JJJJound x adidas Samba in your rotation this season. According to our sources, even more colourways are set to be revealed soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
