First Look at the Air Jordan 5 “UNC” DV1310-401

Michael Jordan’s alma mater headlines another Air Jordan Retro signature model set for an early 2023 launch. The University Blue colourway on every Air Jordan shoe gets related to MJ’s college, University of North Carolina. This Air Jordan 5 Retro “UNC” joins the seemingly annual release of early Air Jordan models donning UNC Blue. Set for a 2023 drop, this shoe follows the Air Jordan 3 from 2020, Air Jordan 4 from 2021, and 2022’s Air Jordan 6.

Rocking recognisable University Blue colours, the Air Jordan 5 Retro “UNC” features a suede upper with plastic side windows.

The laces and TPU eyestays also feature University Blue for consistency. Metallic Silver hues appear on the tongue and forefoot shark teeth. A stitched Team Jordan brand tag covers the heel panel. We can recall that Air Jordan Retros inspired by alma maters have this feature. This tag appeared on the University Blue editions of the Air Jordan 4 and Air Jordan 6.

Inside the textured mesh tongue, “HEART.” and “SOUL.” labels appear.

The PU midsole comes in Black, while the decoupled herringbone traction pods utilise the signature translucent outsole. A Jumpman logo appears on the forefoot section.

Scheduled for a March 2023, drop, the Air Jordan 5 UNC is already on our must-cop list months before these are set to launch!
