First Look: J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 Retro

Reliable sneaker sources recently broke out the news of an upcoming J Balvin Air Jordan 3 release. Now, J Balvin and his team took the time to confirm this info as he wore the shoe in the Miami Grand Prix. The Prince of Reggaeton marks the third time he’s teamed up with Jordan Brand. He began his partnership with the rainbow-inspired Air Jordan 1 High, and the cloudy Air Jordan 2 from 2022. This time, the J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 Retro honours the sunsets from his hometown Medellin, Colombia.

Just like all previous releases, the upcoming collab will include a special-edition co-branded apparel collection. Rumoured for a 2nd September 2023 launch, let’s check out the rest of the photos below.

The J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 features a sail makeover with yellow outlines on the edges of the mudguard. Sail white tones also cover the elephant print overlays on the toe and heel.

The heel PU midsole and TPU heel tab feature sunset-inspired tones of orange, red, yellow, and dark purple. Nike Air branding makes up the left pair while J Balvin’s smiley face logo comprises the right shoe.

Based on the photos provided, the outsole seems to be translucent rubber just like the Air Jordan 2.

We have no other details regarding this shoe but we’re sure there will be more surprises for us. Expect a special packaging box to go along with the shoe and the threads.
