From the “Escargot” to the “Safari Olympics,” Nike and Jordan Brand are going all-out for the Olympics this summer. And just when we thought that was it, we’re now taking our first look at the very appropriately-named Air Jordan 4 “Paris Olympics.” Arriving in an all-grey colourway, it bears a striking resemblance to one of 2017’s biggest sneaker collaborations.
Decked out in premium suede throughout, this Air Jordan 4 is overlaid by textured leather across the front and speckled rubber along the caging system. Jumpman logos feature on the tongue tag and heel badge, and the lateral and medial sidewalls are both done up in mesh for added ventilation.
Cotton laces tie everything together, and all of this rests on top of an Air-infused midsole for unrivalled comfort and cushioning both on and off the basketball court. It’s a clean aesthetic that’s tried and tested, and to old school trainer fans, it a splitting image of the legendary KAWS x Air Jordan 4 from back in the day. If you can recall, that shoe sold out within seconds, and is considered by many to be one of the holiest grails out there.
Dropping on July 27th, if you didn’t manage to cop the KAWS drop, the Air Jordan 4 “Paris Olympics” is the ultimate alternative. Let us know if you’ll be going for these later this summer, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
