Official Images of the 2023 Nike Icons Collection

When it comes to the word “Icon”, Nike fans, usually reference the golden era of Air Max in the 90s. Following up from a similar collection in the recent past, the “Evolution of Icons” in 2021, where themes revolved around switching iconic colourways of Nike trainers with one another. This year, we have a new Nike Icons Collection, featuring five different silhouettes, each pair honouring OG colourways of other iconic Nike releases.

Nike finally decided to include non-Air Max silhouettes like the Presto and Huarache in the roster. Let’s take a closer look at each sneaker and the corresponding “iconic” colourway below.

We still have no word about this release but we’ll let you know once more details drop.

Nike Air Max 90 Icons “Silver Bullet” DX4258-400

This Air Max 90 colourway pays homage to the iconic Air Max 97 Silver Bullet. It features a White mesh base upper with shiny Metallic Silver accents on the leather overlays. Swooshes on the sides and other Nike branding come in Red.

Even the outsole follows the White, Black, and Red colour combination.

Nike Air Huarache Icons “Infrared” DX4259-100

Huarache meets Air Max (without the actual Air bubble) in this Infrared-inspired colourway. Clean colours of White and Grey comprise the upper of the Huarache while vibrant Infrared accents cover the rear sections.

No suede materials appear on this Huarache rendition, the outsole also lacks the Infrared hues.

Nike Air Presto Icons “Hyper Blue” DX4258-400

With all these Air Presto colourways since 2000, one would assume that this style already came out. This Air Presto colourway borrows the popular Hyper Blue rendition of the Air Max Plus or Tuned 1. Even the iconic gradient fade detail made its way to the mesh and neoprene upper.

The Black Nike Swoosh on the toe and the Black lace cage resemble the TPU waves of the Tuned 1.

Yellow Swooshes and tongue logos make the colour blocking consistent throughout the shoe.

Nike Air Max 95 Icons “Brutal Honey” DX4236-100

This Air Max 95 colourway brings that classic OG look, almost like a toned-down version of the classic OG Volt colourway. The Grey and Black upper is essentially the same as most OG AM95 releases. Muted accents of Yellow adorn the lace loops and visible Air units.

The Yellow Air Max logos on the tongue and the Swooshes on the rear stand out well atop the dark base.

Nike Air Max Plus Icons “Scream Green” DX4326-001

Blue and Green collide in this Air Max Plus colourway inspired by the OG Nike Air Huarache colourway. The mesh upper features a gradient fade effect of White to Midnight Navy from top to bottom. Green accents on the Swoosh, eyestay, and tongue add a prominent look to the shoe.

Compared to the Huarache, this Tuned 1 boasts a darker aesthetic than the Scream Green Huarache which showcases a White base with Deep Blue tones.

Nike Icons Collection 2023 Release Details

We have no confirmed release date yet for the entire Nike Icons Collection. The Evolution of Icons from 2021 launched just in time for Air Max Day 2021. However, take note that the Icons Collection 2023 includes the Air Presto and Huarache, so it’s really unlikely for an Air Max Day release.

Keep an eye out for more information soon as we enter into the next few months.
