One of the most iconic basketball shoes from the Three Stripes returns with all-new neutral-toned colourways. The adidas Forum perfected the formula for an 80s basketball shoe, but it’s also a great lifestyle shoe nearly 40 years later! This adidas Forum Mid “Off White Cream White Black” goes for vintage aesthetics in a clean White and Black combo.
Adidas looks to capitalise on their vintage trainers. Now we can add the Forum to the equation as the shoe continues to release in brand-new colourways. A durable leather upper, ankle strap, and the iconic three stripes on the sides turn this into a must-cop classic.
The adidas Forum made its long-awaited comeback in 2020. But its glory began in 1984 as the brand’s premier basketball shoe in the 80s. Adidas created a shoe so good, even Michael Jordan wore a pair to show his interest in signing with the three stripes. The Forum separated itself from other adidas hoop shoes thanks to its ankle strap.
Unlike the Nike AF1 which only featured straps on High and Mid versions, the adidas Forum kept the strap across all styles. The Lows retained the ankle strap, staying consistent with solid support and impressive lockdown.
While the shoe is no longer a good option to play basketball in, the stylish streetwear aesthetic gave it a new lease on life.
This adidas Forum Mid “Off White Cream White Black” features a Cream White leather base with Core Black accents on the three stripes and collar.
The minimalist and neutral-toned makeover highly resembles Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God. Take note that Jerry Lorenzo now handles adidas’ basketball division wherein we can expect his designs to emerge soon.
Cop this pair this April 2023 on the adidas UK website.
