We all know lightning strikes before thunder, and we can recall the Air Jordan 4 Retro Lightning returned in 2021. Now, we finally get the return of an iconic non-OG Air Jordan 4 colourway. The Air Jordan 4 Retro “Thunder” 2023 appears for the first time since its last release in 2012. With an improved shape and better quality materials, people already have their eyes on a pair months ago!
After getting a bunch of new colourways, the Air Jordan 4 brings back a popular colourway for this month. The Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” originally came out in 2006 alongside the “Lightning” colourway. As a nod to MJ’s motorcycle team, the pack also came with a track jacket. Back then, the shoe only released online and became a highly coveted pair.
The Air Jordan 4 needed to exceed expectations just like the Air Jordan 3. Luckily for Nike, Tinker Hatfield designed the shoe. Introduced in 1989, the Air Jordan 4 became one of the most popular Air Jordan models thanks to its unique design.
Leather comprises the body of the shoe, while TPU makes up the lace cages and support wings. Mesh netting panels appear on the sides for ventilation. Just like its predecessor, the Air Jordan 4 incorporates a PU midsole setup with a visible Air unit in the heel. Another Air unit hides in the forefoot.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro “Thunder” 2023 features a black nubuck base with yellow accents on the lace cages and PU midsole. Jumpman labels on the tongue and heel come in white to stand out.
