“Shattered Backboard” vibes live on with this shoe! The Nike Air Force 1 Low GORE-TEX “Brown / Orange” boasts a beloved colour scheme with a heavy-duty upper suitable for extreme weather conditions.
GORE-TEX material once again arrives just in time for the cold winter months. This can pose a problem for sneakerheads as some trainers may get damaged. Because of this, Nike incorporated a wind-proof, water-proof, and durable upper to keep your style fresh all year long.
First invented by Bob Gore in 1969 for outdoor activities, GORE-TEX became a top pick when it comes to heavy-duty fabrics. This material is a result of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene which can withstand extreme weather conditions. The proven high-quality and long-lasting GORE-TEX continued to grace outdoor products such as apparel, footwear, and equipment.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low incorporated GORE-TEX technology before, and it’s back once more. Nike continues to showcase their love for winterised shoes, and this time it comes in the form of this AF1 Low GTX.
Launched in 1982, the Nike Air Force 1 first arrived as a basketball shoe. The low-top and mid versions brought more options to both hoops and streetwear aficionados. As the first basketball shoe to use the Swoosh brand’s Air cushioning technology, expectations were met. Nike Air provided comfort, impact protection, and responsiveness.
Aside from the newly-unveiled Nike Air Force 1 Low GORE-TEX “Olive”, this colourway boasts Orange and Brown hues. It’s highly similar to the classic “Shattered Backboard” colour scheme from the Air Jordan 1.
Mesh underlay and leather overlays team up in this premium edition. GORE-TEX fabric covers the entire upper for waterproof protection. Brown adorns the toe, quarter, eyestay, lining, and outsole. While Orange accents hit the vamp, Swoosh, and the rest of the rear. A Sail White midsole adds a vintage effect to the shoe.
GORE-TEX labels appear on the forefoot and tongue, Nike tags finish the tongue and the rear.
Expect the Nike Air Force 1 Low GORE-TEX “Brown / Orange” to release by December 2021 to get you ready for winter.
