Designed by Bruce Kilgore, the Nike Air Force 1 came out in 1982 and was Nike’s lead basketball trainer at the time. It was also the first basketball shoe to feature Nike Air cushioning – embedded within the rubber midsole.
Beyond basketball, the AF1 was still a hit! Hip-hop and streetwear culture adopted the shoe as one of the primary symbols of the culture; often getting a lot of praise and appreciation from the community.
As part of the Nike Air Force 1’s 40th anniversary, the yet-to-be-announced “City Pack” has a lot in store for us! This Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Paris” joins the “Berlin” colourway in the upcoming pack.
Cream White pebbled leather makes up the base, while Pollen Yellow suede overlays cover the rest of the panels including the ankle strap and laces. Blue Void adorns the Swoosh logos as well as the heel panel and tongue wherein they both have a Green outline.
Paris, France’s department number appears on the forefoot where a “75” label is located.
Scheduled for an April 2022 release, keep an eye out for official updates about the AF1 “City Pack”.
