The man responsible for creating Nike Air gets his tribute release comprised of various Nike Air Max icons. As a nod to Air Max origins and the scientist who invented Nike Air, this “Frank Rudy” pack goes old-school. The Nike Air Max 90 “Frank Rudy” joins other Air Max icons such as the AM97 and Air Max Plus! Packed with heat (and Air), this rendition sticks to the vintage themes of the late 70s and Frank Rudy’s details.
Not everyone knows Marion Franklin Rudy. But this new pack made in honour of him will get new sneakerheads familiarised with the name. The TPU heel panel with the Nike Air label boasts a subtle resemblance to air bubbles.
Following the DNA of the first Air Max, the Nike Air Max 90 went on to become one of the most popular trainers ever. Introduced in 1990, the then Air Max III utilised more support in the form of these TPU overlays. Its low-cut design makes up for one well-rounded sneaker that boasts comfort for all-day wear.
Decades later, sneakerheads still add a pair of AM90s to their collection. No doubt it’s still insanely popular just like how it was back when it first came out!
The Nike Air Max 90 “Frank Rudy” features a clean White leather base and a Summit White suede mudguard. Vintage designs such as the yellowing heel panel and semi-translucent outsole serve as a throwback to Nike’s heritage. Frank Rudy signatures and labels appear on the sockliner and lace tips.
Keep an eye out for this pair as it releases this September 2022 on the Nike UK website.
