When the Air Jordan 1 High was first revealed back in 1985, it was introduced in a bunch of legendary colourways. From the “Bred” to the “Chicago” all the way to the “Royal,” each one played (and continues to play) a huge role in sneaker lore. Another pair that debuted back then was the iconic “Shadow,” and while it hasn’t re-released in a while, it’s actually making a comeback in the form of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Shadow.”
An almost one-to-one remake of the original, this Air Jordan 1 Low boasts the same full leather construction that’s smooth and supple to the touch. The base is dipped in “Medium Grey,” while the rest of the upper is painted in slick “Black” hues throughout. A Swoosh glides through the lateral and medial sidewalls, while Jordan Brand‘s world-renowned winged basketball insignia is stitched around the heel.
Down below, the midsole is left completely white, and it’s infused with Nike‘s critically-acclaimed Air cushioning system. All of this is very familiar, but what’s not-so-familiar is the low-top design. While it doesn’t offer as much ankle support as the OG from the ’80s, it’s infinitely more versatile, automatically making it one of the greatest lifestyle trainers that money can buy.
The Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Shadow” is currently scheduled to release on May 10th. Expected to sell out fast, make sure you keep it locked at Captain Creps to increase your chances of securing your size.
