It’s safe to assume that the Air Jordan 2 has never been Michael Jordan’s most hyped silhouette. It was only when Virgil Abloh released his own Off-White version in 2021, that sneakerheads started paying attention to it. Now, the iconic model is making a comeback in a low-top form – but with a neat twist.
While Air Jordan 2s aren’t crafted in Italy like they used to be, this one boasts a super premium all-leather construction that’s made up of various textures and finishes. Brogue-like perforations surround the toebox area, while a seriously smooth heel counter wraps around the back for added support.
The iconic winged basketball insignia is finely debossed on the tongue, but that’s not the only thing that makes this trainer so special. In fact, it’s what’s on the bottom half that makes it truly groundbreaking. For the first time ever, the AJ2 is getting an Air Jordan 3 midsole in “Sail.” We’re not entirely sure why Nike and Jordan Brand decided to this this, but we’re definitely not complaining. It’s then rounded off with a “Cement Grey” rubber outsole, finalising the clean cut design.
