The Invincible x adidas Handball Spezial is Under Deconstruction

If 2023 was the year of the Samba and 2024 was the year of the Gazelle, 2025 is definitely the year of the Handball Spezial, and it’s all thanks to sneakers like the Invincible x adidas Handball Spezial. The Taipei-based boutique and the German sportswear company are no strangers to collaborations, but this upcoming drop might just be their best one yet.

Giving the retro Adidas silhouette a deconstructed look and feel, the Handball Spezial has been revealed in two colourways. The white is crafted from smooth leather and is detailed with perforations across the sidewalls for some serious Stan Smith vibes. Dark brown nubuck descends upon the toebox, while hairy grey suede wraps around the heel for a contrast – both aesthetically and texturally.

The black, on the other hand, boasts a more traditional look and feel. It’s covered in cracked calfskin for a more vintage vibe, and it’s finished off with a stealthy T-toe overlay across the front. But, no matter which pair you choose, you’ll get a sneaker that goes hard on deconstruction, with frayed edges, visibile stitching, and gum midsoles that look pre-worn.
