The JJJJound x New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex “Black” Was Made for the Great Outdoors

JJJJound just never misses. And for the upcoming JJJJound x New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex “Black,” the Montreal-based imprint has created the ultimate sneaker to tackle the wind and the rain. The perfect balance between form and function, here’s what you need to know about this all-black beauty.

While Justin Saunders’ first two 2002R colourways from February were decked out in suede, this one opts for a lush leather construction instead. The base is crafted from mesh for added ventilation, while a dash of navy hits the heel for a pop of contrast that’s guaranteed to turn heads wherever you go.

The inside of the New Balance trainer is completely lined with a Gore-Tex membrane to keep moisture out and warmth in. And to really drive the whole rugged theme home, JJJJound has equipped the “Black” with toggle switch laces, similar to what you might find on a pair of advanced hiking boots. All of this then rests on top of an Abzorb midsole for unrivalled comfort and cushioning with every step.

The JJJJound x New Balance 2002R Gore-Tex “Black” will drop on December 18th exclusively on JJJJound website. A much wider launch is then scheduled two days later on December 20th. Let us know if you’ll be adding these to your winter rotation, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
