And now, six years later, they’re back with a true follow-up with the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago Shadow.”
Yes, Union LA dropped a Bephie’s Beauty Supply pair last year. It’s awesome in its own right, but the upcoming “Chicago Shadow” is an actual sequel to the 2018 pairs. Inspired by the legendary “Chicago” and “Shadow” colourways, the top half of the sneaker is painted in grey and black tones, while the bottom half arrives in classic red and white hues. These are attached together with light blue stitching, while the iconic “UN/LA” tag hits the lateral ankle, just so everyone knows that this ain’t any old AJ1.
Like the “Lost & Found” from 2022, the Air midsole is dipped in a pre-yellowed hue for a vintage vibe. The sneaker comes with custom insoles, and it’s finished off with a black Nike Swoosh that glides across the lateral and medial sidewalls. All of this then comes packed in a limited edition shoebox that sneaker collectors will definitely adore.
