Nite Jogger

Blast to the past. Take it all the way back to 1979 with the newest rendition of the adidas Nite Jogger.

The 2019 adidas Nite Jogger goes modern as it continues to shine in the adidas Originals footwear catalogue. It’s a direct tribute to the original adidas Nite Jogger that came out over 40 years ago. This time featuring top-of-the-line materials and adidas tech to cater to the current sneaker scene.

In 1979, the first adidas Nite Jogger graced the running scene as a night-time or dawn time trainer with its increased visibility features. The use of vibrant and popping pigments made the shoe easy to see and recognize even in the dark, making them an eye-catcher during its era.

With high visibility and attention-grabbing features in mind, adidas revived the Nite Jogger in 2019. This time featuring multiple upper fabrics and reflective panels throughout the shoe to make sure that everybody sees what you’re rocking.

Although it took inspiration from a running shoe, the adidas Nite Jogger is primarily meant as a lifestyle shoe. It’s under the adidas Originals footwear selection. The upper is also not meant to be running in with.

As a retro-inspired classic with modern details, the 2019 Nite Jogger features a mesh and nylon ripstop upper as the base. Suede overlays partnered with reflective materials give the shoe a more premium feel. The three stripes on the sides also shine under the right lighting conditions.

The biggest upgrade of the shoe comes in the thick full-length Boost foam midsole. It’s stabilized by a TPU heel clip that ensures you still get the bouncy feeling that we all loved with Boost. As a lifestyle shoe, the foam runs from heel to toe. Giving you the perfect well-cushioned ride for your city landscape travels.

An Ortholite sockliner inside the shoe adds to the already comfortable Nite Jogger.

The thick rubber outsole uses a grid-like pattern with lugs on key areas for a durable and consistent grip on all surfaces.

With the use of old and modern materials, the Nite Jogger became an instant hit in the lifestyle category. Special releases such as Ninja’s Gaming Pack and Beyonce’s IVY Park collab donned the Nite Jogger in the past two years.

Though it’s over two years old now, you can still find the adidas Nite Jogger in select stores worldwide.
