Nike continued the advancement of Nike Air with the arrival of the Tuned 3, or Nike Air Max Plus 3. This shoe stuck to the formula of using two visible Air Max units plus a large and sturdy midfoot shank. When Nike brought back the Air Max Plus line in 2019, fans from the UK rejoiced! We now have more styles of the shoe appearing monthly since its return.

The first Air Max Plus originally came out in 1998. Its popularity paved the way for the creation of more models; one of them is the Air Max Plus 3.

The Tuned 3 boasted the usual gradient mesh upper treatment. Linear TPU designs on the upper also serve the purpose of reinforcing the shoe.
