Uptempo

One of the most standout sneakers of all time. This shoe will never go unnoticed due to its large details. The Nike Air More Uptempo will always be known as that 90s basketball shoe with “AIR”. This stands out well compared to all other Uptempo models, that’s for sure!

Basketball fans from the 90s are probably the first to notice the shoe. Specifically, Chicago Bulls fans because Superstar Scottie Pippen rocked the Air More Uptempo alongside MJ’s Air Jordan 11. Together they dominated the league the same way Nike shoes dominated the markets.

This model originally came out in 1996. While not really introduced as a Scottie Pippen signature shoe, many fans associated it with him anyway. Scottie Pippen eventually received his official signature shoes in 1997.

The Nike Air More Uptempo features a leather nubuck base with the AIR lettering covering both sides of the shoe. A full-length Air Max unit adds maximum cushioning and impact protection. The bubbles have segments separated by the outsole, but the comfort level remains the same.

Nike brought back the iconic silhouette in the modern era with all-new colourways. Some appeared in loud colour schemes, while some OG colourways such as the Black brought a lot of nostalgia.

It’s not a suitable basketball shoe anymore, though. Because the shoe is heavy and does not offer as much flexibility as the ones we have today. You can rock them for lifestyle purposes and turn a lot of heads!
