After months and months of rumours, the Air Jordan 4 “Fear” is finally set to make its highly anticipated return at the end of this year. Originally released in 2013 as part of the “Fear Pack,” which also featured the Air Jordan 3 and the Air Jordan 5, this colourway draws inspiration from the iconic 2008 “Becoming Legendary” campaign. In this memorable ad, Michael Jordan voiced the line, “I’m scared of what I won’t become. You’re scared of what I could become,” setting the tone for the collection’s theme.
Dressed in a sleek suede construction, the upper boasts a gradient aesthetic that fades from “Black” at the top to “Cool Grey” and “Pure Platinum” towards the bottom. Crisp “White” accents hit the lacing system, sockliner, and tongue tag, which is decorated with the legendary Jumpman motif.
One of the standout features of the “Fear” is the stealthy midsole. Not only is is covered in paint-like speckles throughout, it’s also accented with a fiery red Nike Air unit around the heel. The Air Jordan 4 is then finished off with some special insoles, which are emblazoned with MJ’s powerful quote that we mentioned earlier.
